ADM Announces Call For Applications: 2007 Community Partnership Grants

Archer Daniels Midland Company (NYSE: ADM) announces the call for applications for its 2007 Community Partnership Grant program. The mission of the grant program is to strengthen agricultural areas of the United States by funding community improvement projects. Up to four grants of $10,000 each will be awarded to qualified tax-exempt, non-profit,educational or community organizations in cities and towns where ADM operates.
“ADM appreciates the value of America’s agricultural communities and is committed to enhancing the quality of life in the areas where we live and work,” said Brian Peterson, Senior Vice President-Corporate Affairs. “This program will encourage local leaders and ADM employees to identify projects for consideration that address specific community needs.”
Applications and further information can be found at www.adm.com and all submissions must be postmarked by June 30, 2007.
Last year, more than 100 excellent community organizations applied for a grant. Recipients included The German Coast Farmers’ Market (Destrehan, Louisiana); The Girl Scouts of the USA-Kickapoo Council (Peoria, Illinois); The Audrain County 4-H Foundation (Mexico, Missouri); and The National Foundation for Carnival Heritage (Kinsley, Kansas).
For the past three years, ADM has announced the call for applications for the Community Partnership Grant program concurrently with National Agriculture Day festivities in Washington, D.C. to demonstrate ADM’s commitment to supporting the agricultural communities in which it operates. Through the grant program, as well as sponsorship of the Ag in America Tour (a mobile tour that educates students and consumers about the importance of agriculture) and National Agriculture Day, ADM is working to ensure a strong future for American agriculture.
