ADM Donates $1 Million to Help Feed Families around the World

Holiday gift will provide more than 1.5 million meals

DECATUR, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Archer Daniels Midland Company (NYSE: ADM) today announced a donation of $1 million to the international hunger-relief organization Feed The Children. The gift was made through the company’s ADM Cares program and will provide food and essentials to children and families in the United States and around the world.

“Through ADM Cares, we work to make a positive difference in our communities around the world,” said Victoria Podesta, vice president and chief communications officer. “We are pleased to make this donation on behalf of our 29,000 colleagues to help families in need this holiday season.”

Since 1993, ADM has partnered with Feed The Children to support those in need. This year, ADM’s holiday donation of $1 million includes $500,000 for Feed The Children’s domestic efforts, including the Americans Feeding Americans Caravan, which will provide food and essentials to 200,000 children and families in the U.S.; and $500,000 to help feed 200,000 children in Feed The Children’s international feeding programs during the week of December 20. ADM’s donation will supply more than 1.5 million meals.

ADM Cares is a corporate social-investment program that directs up to one percent of ADM’s pretax profits to initiatives and organizations that drive meaningful social, economic and environmental progress worldwide. The program comprises three distinct areas of focus: supporting the responsible development of agriculture, improving the quality of life in ADM communities and fostering employee giving and volunteer activities.
