ADM Directors Declare Cash Dividend

The Board of Directors of Archer Daniels Midland Company today declared a cash dividend of ten cents a share on the Company’s stock payable June 9, 2006 to Shareholders of record May 19, 2006.

This is ADM’s 318th cash dividend and 298th consecutive quarterly payment, a record of 74 years of uninterrupted dividends. As of March 31, 2006 there were 654,297,474 shares of ADM stock outstanding.
