ADM Directors Declare Cash Dividend

The Board of Directors of Archer Daniels Midland Company today declared a cash dividend of ten cents a share on the Company’s stock payable September 8, 2006 to Shareholders of record August 18, 2006.

This is ADM’s 319th cash dividend and 299th consecutive quarterly payment, a record of 74 years of uninterrupted dividends. As of June 30, 2006 there were 655,685,378 shares of ADM stock outstanding.
