ADM Romania Employees Deliver Hunger Relief To Local Community With 2,500 Meals

Volunteers package and distribute over 400 meals to those in need

ADM, a global leader in sustainably sourced solutions from nature, is furthering its commitment to bringing nutritional solutions to those in need by providing an ADM Cares grant to Social Food Association. The grant supports the nonprofit organization's efforts to help restore hope to those less fortunate by  providing warm, delicious and nutritious food.

In an effort to give back to their community on Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2024, 23 volunteers from ADM's location in Bucharest, Romania, prepared food and packaged meal boxes at one of the social canteens which were distributed to those in need. 

During the same week, ADM Cares Romania also funded the distribution of 2,150 hot meals to children from disadvantaged background through the Regina Maria Foundation and for poor people from the Diaconia Association.

Chef Adi Hădean, president of Social Food Romania Association said, "Our Adopt a Canteen project continues to inspire acts of kindness and solidarity that transform lives. Over the past few days, volunteers from ADM Romania gathered at the Grivița social canteen and, with a lot of heart and dedication, prepared hundreds of portions of hot meals for those who need support the most. Each serving was given with care and love, not only to nourish, but to also to bring a touch of comfort and warmth to the lives of the most vulnerable members of our community. In addition to the involvement of volunteers, ADM Romania made a remarkable gesture of generosity, sponsoring another 2,150 meals, which were distributed to two other social canteens, where help is essential. This contribution will continue to support communities in difficulty, providing vital support for those experiencing deprivation."
